Abstract

PURPOSE: To securely prevent oxygen shortage from occuring due to a trouble in a ventilator by a method wherein a sensor is placed in a ventilation air passage and the ventilating function is checked through the change of the resistance of a thermistor.
CONSTITUTION: The sensor 8 is placed in the air passage of the ventilator 1 to directly detect the air ventilation. When a trouble occurs in the ventilator 1 and sufficient ventilation is not conducted, the temperature of the sensor 8 such as a self- heating thermistor is raised and the electric resistance thereof is reduced. As a result, a comparator 30 which has been receiving the logical level "0" receives newly the logical level "1", so that the condition is recognized as abnormal and an alarm is raised by a buzzer 32. Accordingly, oxygen shortage can be securely prevented even at the time of the trouble with the ventilator 1.
