Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a change in sensitivity during a pause of longperiod by forming an electrostatic latent image by performing an antecedent sensitizing process once through exposing a photoreceptor after charging the photoreceptor with the same polarity as that in electrostatic latent image formation, and then by charging the photoreceptor and exposing the picture. CONSTITUTION:On conductive base 1a, photoconductive layer 1b obtained by dispersing a CdS type photoconductive material in a binder resin independently or together with a metal activator is provided and photoreceptor 1 obtained by laminating trnsparent insulating protection layer 1c on the surface of this layer 1b, is used. This method is the latent image transfer type electrophotographic method in which at least part of photoreceptor 1 is used repeatadly to complete one copy. After photoreceptor 1 is charged with the same polarity as that in the formation of an electrostatic latent image, the antecedent sensitizing process, which exposes the photoreceptor 1 and saturates the sensitizing speed of photoreceptor 1, is carried out once. Then, photoreceptor 1 is charged and exposed the picture to form the electrostatic latent image.
