Abstract

PURPOSE: To connect electric conductors so that the connection may have high mechanical strength and may cause no deterioration in electrical characteristic even when the processing precision of the connection is low, by superposing the comb- tooth-shaped protruded part of an electric conductor on the end part of another electric conductor, and by filling the recessed parts by welding.
CONSTITUTION: The end part of an electric conductor 1 where comb-tooth-shaped protruded parts 4 and recessed parts 5 are provided, is superposed on the end part of another electric conductor 2. Molten metal to be deposited 6 is poured into the recessed parts 5 by MIG welding using welding wire contg. copper as a principal component or by manual arc welding, whereby the base metal is partly melted to form penetration 7, so that the electric conductors 1 and 2 are connected metallurgically. Consequently, the precision of the protruded parts 4 of the electric conductor 1 in the longitudinal direction is permissible within several mm, hence the electric conductors 1, 2 are connected electrically at a high mechanical strength because welding metal penetrates into the weld zone even when the face of weld 3 is lifted.
