Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture an amorphous magnetic alloy material with superior magnetic characteristics by rolling an amorphous magnetic alloy sheet manufactured by a super rapid cooling method into a cylindrical shape, placing the cylindrical sheet in an external magnetic field, and rotating the direction of the field to make induced magnetic antiostropy isotropic while heat treating the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A melt of starting materials for an amorphous alloy contg. transition metals such as Fe, Co and Ni and metalloid components such as Si, B, P and C is very rapidly cooled at a 10<4>-10<6> deg.C/sec cooling rate to manufacture an amorphous alloy sheet. This sheet is rolled into a cylindrical shape, placed in the external magnetic filed of electromagnets, permanent magnets or the like, and heated at a temp. of the Curie point of the alloy or below and the crystallization temp. or below for 1min-500hr in a resistance heating furnace or the like. During this heat treatment the direction of the field applied to the sheet is rotated to make magnetic anisotropy induced by the field isotropic. Thus, an amorphous magnetic alloy sheet with superior magnetic characteristics is obtd.
