Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled apparatus easy to repair and apply ultrasonic vibration of a uniform sound pressure by arranging ultrasonic vibrating plates each obtd. by uniting a plurality of ultrasonic vibrating elements at the opposite sides of a cooling liq. vessel so that each gap between the plates at one side may not face each gap between the plates at the other side.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of ultrasonic vibrating plates 4 obtd. by uniting a plurality of ultrasonic vibrating elements 3 are arranged at the outsides of opposite walls 2 of cooling liq. vessel 1 at predetermined intervals so at to cover a glass plate to be dipped and tempered by liq. cooling. Each region A between adjacent plates 4 at one side faces plate 4 at the other side. Thus, each part of a low sound pressure between plates 4 can be made almost uniform in sound pressure by vibrating plates 4 of the ultrasonic vibrating elements which are facing each other.
