Abstract
PURPOSE: To avoid the contact between the lower face of a transparent plate and the upper face of a guide stand to prevent degradation of the copying picture quality, by arranging the rail for book carrier guiding consisting of materials different from those of this guide stand on the guide stand of the book carrier.
CONSTITUTION: Guide device 41 for book carrier is constituted by arranging plural rails 40 for book carrier guiding along the carrying direction of book carrier 50 on original guide stand 2. These rails 40 are formed with thin-plate band-form materials and are placed in parallel in positions corresponding to carrying rollers 4A, 5A, 4B and 5B and are fixed onto original guide stand 2. Optimum materials are selected as materials of these rails 40 according to materials of transparent plate 51 of book carrier 50. For example, acrylic resin materials are used for transparent plate 51 normally, however, polyethylene and Teflon are suitable as materials of rails 40 in this case. Thus, damage on the lower face of the transparent plate is avoided to prevent degradation of the copying picture quality.
