Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the swirl type water separation tank by a method wherein an inflow port of water to be treated is provided to a position approached to the tank bottom as well as also provided to a position above it and below a level of a water collecting tray to enhance removal capacity of pollution substances in a sewage in an initial period of a rainfall.
CONSTITUTION: The rainwater is introduced into the water separation tank from a main inflowed water conduit 17, but, in an initial period of a rainfall, inflowed water enters into the tank 1 by a lower inflowed water conduit 13 of a bottom of the water separation tank 1 and revolved in the tank 1 while a water level is raised to form water with low pollution conc. and this water enters into the water separation tank 1 from an upper inflowed water conduit 15. In the water separation tank 1, a revolved lower inflowed water layer with high pollution concn. and an upper clearner inflowed water layer are formed and polluted substances flowed into a lower part of the tank are suppressed by the clearer upper layer and can not overflow easily. Therefore, a sewage with bad quality in an initial period of a rainfall is swirled in the bottom part of the tank for a long time without being overflowed and solid-liquid separation effect is enhanced.
