Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the function of wiping work for a windshield corresponding to a car speed, by providing a speed detector and blocking oscillator with a variable operating period in accordance with output of said detector and automatically changing an optionally predetermined wiping period in accordance with the car speed.
CONSTITUTION: A speed signal is output from a speed detector 1 as a frequency proportional to a car speed, D-A converted in a D-A converter 2 and then input to a blocking oscillator 3. The blocking oscillator 3 is provided with a device for manually setting a period independently of the car speed and another device for operating with a variable period in accordance with the speed signal, and they operate separately from and additionally to each other. That is, optionally at a certain speed with the setting alignment to a rainfall at that time, if the device is manually set according to the figure of relation between the wiping period and the car speed, for instance, to a position 2, the oscillating period is changed along its sloped line correspondingly to a change of the car speed. A signal of said oscillator 3 is led to a controller 4 to control an electric motor for a windshield wiper not shown in the drawing.
