Abstract
PURPOSE: To convert the up and down movement energy of the wave into electrical energy by making the water level within a float utilizing the wave up and down movement.
CONSTITUTION: An equipment consisting of the float 1, a resistance plate 2 and a pillar 3 is set almost vertically in the water. Under these conditions, when a wave motion comes up to the float 1, the latter can not suddenly move up and down, because the resistance plate 2 is linked with the float. On the other hand the water level within the float 1 moves sensitively responding to each coming wave motion. Consequently, between the stationary float and the water sensitively moving up and down within the float the compressing or expanding action arises to the air within an air chamber. Said action causes the air flow within a valve box, said air flow turns an air turbine 4, said rotation is transmitted to a generator 5 to convert the wave up and down motion energy into electric energy.
