Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coaxial matching circuit of a simple structure, by giving a vertical connection to the 1/4-wavelength coaxial lines having different characteristic impedances and then using some of the above-mentioned coaxial lines for the low pass filters to block the propagation of the undesired wave. CONSTITUTION:The LPF type 1/4-wavelength transformer 13 consists of the coaxial lines 131-133 having different characteristic impedances Za, Zb and Za each. The characteristic impedance is set as Z0 for both the circulator and the coaxial line 15, and the characteristic impedance of the coaxial line 3 is set as Z1. And the impedance ZL is set for the coaxial line 18 and the varactor diode 1, and the length is selected at lambdaU/4 with the unnecessary frequency fU and for the lines 131-133. Thus the line between B and C is turned into the 3/4-wavelength impedance transformer at fU, and the impedance becomes as ZC=Zb<4>/(Za<2>+ZL) when viewed from the point C. Accordingly, the propagation of the undesired wave fU can be blocked by reducing the ZC enough after selecting Za and Zb. Thus the individual parts of the circuit can be eliminated. As a result, the struture can be simplified, thus realizing a device having a high resistance to the undesired wave.
