Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to cause stable oscillation simultaneously in different frequencies, by providing two sets of electrodes at the center of long and short sides of a quartz chip and oscillating it with two sets of oscillation circuits. CONSTITUTION:Oscillating electrodes 6a, 6b for short side longitudinal oscillation are located along the center line in parallel with a long side, and oscillation electrodes 6c, 6d for lond side oscillation are located along the center line in parallel with a short side. The reason of the location along the center line is to increase the efficiency since the stress at oscillation is greater at the center. Further, since two electrodes are located on one plane, the center part of each electrode is made narrower. By the ratio of short and long sides, the difference of two oscillation frequencies can considerably be made free. Thus, the temperature characteristics can be made flat over a broader range by logical operation to two types of signals obtained.
