Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the loosening of a friction pad by pushing a friction pad supported in a sliding manner on a guide pin against ceiling wall by means of a rust- proof plate spring provided interposingly on the friction pad and the ceiling wall of a caliper.
CONSTITUTION: A central projection 15 projecting outwards from the peripheral edge of the back plate 10 of a friction pad is supported in a sliding manner on a pin 1 supported on a caliper 20 in such a way as to traverse the periphery of a braking disk. A rust-proof plate spring 15 is provided interposingly between the ceiling wall 22 of the caliper 20 and the periphery of the back plate 10, and one end 16b of the plate spring 15 is pushed against a projecting piece 14 on the other end of the back plate 10 to give turning force around the guide pin 1 as a center to the back plate 10. Because the other end side projection 14 of the back plate 10 is pushed against the ceiling wall 22 of the caliper 20 through the other end 16a of the plate spring 15, the loosening of the friction pad due to vibration can be prevented and also the sliding part can be protected from rusting and wearing for a long period of time.
