Abstract

PURPOSE:To make simple correction for left and right pincushion distortions by additonally attaching a magnetic substance to a deflecting yoke so that a vertical deflection magnetic field shape in the aperture of the deflecting yoke can be altered. CONSTITUTION:Four magnetic substances 5 extending from the core 4 toward the front of the aperture 1a of the deflecting yoke 1 are attached to the deflecting yoke 1 by means of the projection 7 provided to the separator 6. The four magnetic substances 5 are positioned lineal-symmetrically with the center lines in both horizontal and vertical directions of the deflecting yoke 1. Because the shape and intensity of magnetic field emitted from the magnetic substances 5 are changed if the attaching angle of the magnetic substances 5 is altered, the left and right pincushion distortions are correspondingly changed.
