Abstract

PURPOSE: An antiseptic and antimildew agent for industry that contains a mixture of 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane and iodomethyl p-tolylsulfone as an effective component, thus showing nonselective and exterminatory effect on various kinds of fungi with high safety.
CONSTITUTION: 1,2-Dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane and diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone is used as effective components to produce an antiseptic and antimildew agent. The resultant agent is added to various kinds of industrial material and products such as emulsion paint or organic adhesive. The combination use of these components offsets defects when used alone and develops remakable synergism.
