Abstract
PURPOSE: To stop copying when the other storage part has no paper after paper is all spent in one storage part, by causing the operator to select a desired size of the copy paper of the copying machine, where copying of plural sizes is possible, with one touch and by supplying the copy paper from one storage part which has paper of the selected size.
CONSTITUTION: The device is so constituted that the output port of the μCOM, the RAM, and other registers may be cleared (reset) by turning-on of the main switch. Then, the input port is sensed to execute routine I, and paper size data stored in the cassette and the deck is stored in the RAM. In this case, routine I is the lift to decide whether the paper size in the paper storage part is B4 or not at a power supply time and perform decision for A4 and B5 and search existence of paper. In the flow chart to detect the paper size select key, namely, routine II, it is decided whether paper should be supplied from the cassette or the deck; and if no pertinent cassette exists, the copy inhibition flag is set to stop start dependent upon the copy key.
