Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a measurement operation time by a method wherein a sample band is made advance and is stopped by means of a sample feeding control unit, and measurement of filter paper sheets is performed durint its stoppage.
CONSTITUTION: When a sample band B is inserted into a sample inserting detector 1, a signal from the detector 1 is sent to a sample feeding control unit 5 and this control unit 5 rotates driving wheels 2, 3 by means of a power unit 9 to advance the sample band B. When a filter paper sheet A in the sample band B comes directly under a radiation detector 6, a sample position detector 4 detects it, and the signal is sent to the sample feeding control unit 5 to stop the advance of the sample band B. And further, a signal of measurement starting is sent to a measurement unit 7 and the measurement unit 7 measures the detection value of the radiation detector 6 and together with this, the result thereof is recorded in a recording unit 8 and a signal of measurement end is sent to the sample feeding control unit 5. By repeating this serial operation, all the filter paper sheets A of the sample band B can be continuously measured and recorded.
