Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent water drips having large diameter from being injected toward the movable vanes, thereby preventing corrosion of the movable vanes as well as to improve a high efficiency in a total flow turbine in which saturated water or mixture of saturated water and vapor is expanded by a de Laval nozzle, injected against the vane wheel to produce a driving power.
CONSTITUTION: Scroll type nozzle 5 is arranged at a rear part of the vane wheel 1 including a number of movable vanes 3, and a de Laval nozzle 8 is connected to the largest diameter part of the scroll pipe 6 constituting the nozzle 5. Said de Laval nozzle 8 is composed of a conical cylinder 9, a throat 10 formed at the leading end of the conical cylinder and a guide pipe 11 connected to the throat part 10 so as to guide the saturated water or mixture of saturated water and saturated vapor. To the terminal end of said nozzle 5 are arranged, for example, four holes 12aW 12d. These holes 12aW12d are connected to the holes 14aW14d perforated in the conical cylinder part 9 of the de Laval nozzle 8. Therefore, the water drips having a large diameter guided to the terminal end of the nozzle 5 may be finely divided.
