Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to broil food such as fish safely and rapidly with a desired finish of cooking by integrally incorporating a roaster in the induction heating type cooker utilising a high-frequency magentic field. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of the cooker is provided on its upper surface with a cooking table (top plate) 2 made of crystallized glass. In the inside of the main body 1, left and right separate induction-heating coils 3 and 4 are placed below the cooking table 2 and are connected respectively with high-frequency inverters 5 and 6 for driving the coils. The roaster 11 is provided at the central part of the main body 1. The roater 11 has a heat source 12 provided at the upper part of a food- containing chamber and also has a food-mounting net 13 and a dripping-juice pan 14 provided at the lower part of the chamber, and is opened and closed by a door 15. The heat source 12 may be an electric heater or, instead, an induction heating source consisting of a plate of magnetic material which self-heats under a high- frequency magnetic field.
