Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the spray of a waterdrop from entering a starter from the outside, by insertion stopping a drain bush to a rear cover of the starter.
CONSTITUTION: In the bottom part of a rear cover 11 connected to an end part of a yoke 7 in a starter a bush mounting port 12 is provided and a bush 13 for draining water is inserted into said mounting port 12. At the side of the bush 13 a water drain hole 14 further in the bottom part of the bush an opening part 15 are provided. While in the central part in the inside of the bush a partition part 17 is suspended, though water in the inside can be drained, water is not allowed to enter the starter from the outside.
