Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the utility by using indium as a main composition in the effective compositions.
CONSTITUTION: A main composition of the effective compositions indicating the ability for detecting gas is composed by indium oxide and a subcomposition is composed by at lease one of nickel oxide and yttrium oxide. When considering all nickel oxide as NiO, all indium oxide as In2O3, and all yttrium oxide as Y2O3, the ratio occupying in the effective compositions of either one or both of nickel oxide and yttrium oxide is set to be 5W50wt%. Thus, by the excellent gas sensing characteristic of indium oxide and the compensation of low element resistance value of indium oxide by specifying the subcomposition, the combustible gas detecting element excellent in utility can be obtained.
