Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure testing conditions strictly during a test and to control the temperature of the furnace swiftly and properly in the time other than the testing time by shifting an object of the temperature control to the temperature inside a furnace chamber and to that inside a sample charging tube.
CONSTITUTION: An electric power supply device 11 is controlled for feedback in accordance with the detected temperature of the furnace chamber 3 of a regenerative body 1 by a thermocouple 8 through the intermediary of a control part 10, whereby the temperature of the furnace is controlled swiftly and properly. And, the sample charging tube 4 wherein sample coke 5 is contained is inserted into the furnace chamber 1 under a prescribed temperature and inactive N2 gas is supplied from an N2 gas cylinder 13 into the tube 4 until the temperature thereof reaches the same prescribed temperature with that of the furnace, and later CO2 gas is supplied from a CO2 cylinder 12. At the same time, a feedback input to the control part 10 is shifted to the detected temperature of the tube 4 by a thermocouple 9 and during the period when the reaction between the coke 5 and CO2 proceeds, the temperature of the tube 4 is controlled directly, whereby the testing conditions are strictly ensured.
