Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the range of load variation in the titled apparatus by a method wherein each evaporator vessel is provided with self-circulating pipe of liquid to be treated so that deflected flow or liquid exhaustion in the heat-transmitting pipe can be prevented.
CONSTITUTION: In a multiple-purpose type evaporator, refill water in the upper part of the evaporator vessel 1 is partly introduced to the bottom of the next evaporator vessel 1 through pipe 9, and partly to the bottom of itself through pipe 8. The refill water 5 is preheated by each of the preheater 3 of the evaporator vessel 1, and passes from the low to high temperature evaporation vessels. The refill water finally enters the bottom of the evaporator vessel 1 at the highest temperature, is heated by steam supplied from the outside, boils and vaporizes in the vertical boiling-heat-transmitting pipes 2 and uprises through the pipes in gas-liquid two phase flow. The generated steam is used to heat the next vessel 1 refill water accumulated on the top is distributed to the pipes 8, 9. By providing the pipe 8 in each vessel 1 in this manner, deflected liquid flow or liquid exhaustion in the pipe 2 can be prevented even when the amount of refill water 5 is reduced.
