Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to supply a continuous load current, by turning on and off alternately every two transistors out of four transistors for the inductive load of AC operation.
CONSTITUTION: NPN transistors 4W7 are connected in series to AC power source 1, and inductive load 2 is connected in parallel to two transistors 6 and 7. If transistors 4 and 5 are turned on when terminal 8 of AC power source 1 is positive, a current is flowed from terminal 10 to terminal 11 in inductive load 2. Next, when transistors 4 and 5 are turned off and transistors 6 and 7 are turned on, a current is flowed from terminal 11 to terminal 10 through transistor 7 and diode 12 in inductive load 2. By repeating this operation in a speed higher than the period of power source 1, the voltage and the current shown in the figure are supplied to inductive load 2.
