Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the wear of a bearing and provide superior bearing function by composing the bearing of Sn, Pb and Cu having a specified composition and adding a specified amount of graphite, Mo or MoS2 as required.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 5W8% Sn powder, 1W4% Pb powder and the balance Cu powder is molded and sintered to manufacture a sintered bearing. ≤1% Graphite, Mo or MoS2 powder may be added. Thus, by reducing the amount of Sn added and adding Pb, the fittability of the resulting bearing to a shaft material is improved to reduce the wear.
