Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the production of switching distortion and to enable to obtain the power efficiency the same as the class B amplification, by keeping all the transistors at ON state at all times by providing the constant current circuit. CONSTITUTION:The constant current circuits 19, 20 are connected between the base of transistors TR5, 6 and the power supply terminals +B and -B. The circuits 19, 20 are provided by taking into consideration that the idling current of TR3, 4 is small and TR5, 6 are not ON with the voltage produced across the resistors 17, 18, and thus, TR5, 6 are always kept at ON state. When the input signal of positive half cycle is fed, the collector current of TR1 is increased and a voltage is produced across the resistor 13, and this voltage is amplified at TR3 and next at TR5 to supply power to the load 22. Next, at a negative half cycle, power is fed mainly from TR5, 6 to the load 22, but TR3, 5 are not OFF. Accordingly, TR1-6 are always ON to avoid the switching distortion.
