Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an examination and contrive automation of the procedure by a method wherein a comparison is performed between the reference level which is set in accordance with the color tone of an object attached to the object to be examined or its admixture, and a composite image signal being photographed, and a signal beyond the reference level is processed as it is, and the signal below the reference level is detected after inversion, and the existence of a foreign matters is detected accordingly. CONSTITUTION:A composite image signal of an object to be examined from TV camera enters a buffer amplification 2 comparison part 3 from an input terminal 1, and then is compared with a reference level transmitted through a voltage generation part 4b and a sensitivity adjustment part. The reference level has been matched to the unsatisfactory color tone of a foreign matter attached to or admixed in an object to be examined. A signal 1H beyond the reference level and a signal 1L below the reference level are transmitted to a polarity selective part 5 from a comparison p part 3, and then the both signals are selected. At the logic section 7, a logic operation is performed with the output from a downtime control section 6 and the output thereof is displayed as a luminous spot at a mixing section 9 after passing a buffer amplifier 8 wherein 1H signal is processed as it is while 1L signal is reversed, and in some time the signal is stored at a memory section 10 thereafter is outputted. Thus, the examination for foreign matters is facilitated and the automation thereof is enabled.
