Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable high fidelity reproduction by the frequency modulation and recording of a luminance signal so that the signal can interleave with the frequency spectrum of hue signal converted into a low band frequency, in a magnetic recording and playback system for composite video signal. CONSTITUTION:When a hue signal is converted into a low frequency fuc, since the frequency spectrum of side band is fuc+ or -mfH (where; fH is horizontal frequency and fuc=(n-1/4)XfH), and since the frequency spectrum of the phase signal and the luminance signal is completely in interleave, by taking the carrier frequency fFM in frequency modulation of the luminance signal as fFM=(k-3/4)XfH, both the signals can completely be separated at reproduction with a comb type filter, allowing to reproduction the high fidelity and resolution. The luminance signal is added to the frequency control signal at an adder 4, it is in FM modulation and multiplied with the signal delayed by one horizontal period to obtain the said frequency control signal in averaging at the integration circuit 8. Accordingly, the frequency spectrum of the output signal 9 in FM modulation is (k-3/4)fH.
