Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the dew condensation in the auxiliary tubing and the like and to miniaturize the whole size of a room unit by making an insulating material thinner by a method wherein in a split-type air conditioner a part of warm air before heat exchange is taken in a tubing accommodation chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A part of warm air before passing through the heat exchanger is taken in an inflow passage 53 of the tubing accommodation chamber 44, made to pass around auxiliary tubes 40, drain hose 41, further discharged from an outlet 55 through a connecting hole 51..., and an outflow passage 54 into an airconditioned room. Consequently warm air always circulates inside the tubing accommodation chamber 44 removing air stagnation thus preventing the auxiliary tubing 40, insulating material 40a, 41a of drain hose 41 from attaining to the dew point. Accordingly even long operation under the highly humid conditions can prevent tubing and the like from dew formation.
