Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the fatigue of the compressors dur to the temporary stop of power supply and to prolong the service life thereof by providing a power supply for exclusively detecting the stop of power supply which includes a capacitor type smoothing circuit having a very short discharge time constant.
CONSTITUTION: The smoothing circuit comprising a resistor 11 having a very short time constant and a capacitor 12, a pair of resistors 13 and 14 and an NPN transistor 15 constitute the power supply for exclusively detecting the stop of power supply. The remaining elements in the drawing constitute a power supply for a control circuit. When two terminals (a) and (b) are applied with voltage, the capacitor 12 is electrically charged, so that the transistor 15 is turned on. The potential at point (d) becomes L level, and another transistor 18 is turned off. A PUT is stopped in a conductive condition. If the power supply stops temporarily in this state, the voltage across the circuit of the resistor 11 and capacitor 12 drops immediately. As a result of this, the transistor 15 is turned off, the transistor 18 is turned on by the discharge of the capacitor connected between the terminals (b) and (c), and the PUT 23 restores its nonconductive condition instantly. When the power supply is restarted, the output OUT starts at level H.
