Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the wear of the record/reproduction head, by having a relative shift for the subchassis containing the record/reproduction head or the like for the head support board having the detection head which detects the area between the musics the quick forwarding and rewinding modes.

CONSTITUTION: The reproduction mode is turned to the quick intermusic detection mode with excitation of the plunger 23, and thus the lever 22 rotates clockwise. Then the high-speed idler 29 is pressed to the idler roller 31 via the sliding plate 27 which moves upward, and thus the tape 46 is wound quickly by the reel turntable 4 which rotates counterclockwise along with the plate 27. At the same time, the lever 17 rotates counterclockwise via the lever 22, and then the sliding plate 13 shifts right. Under these conditions, the electric conduction is cut off to the plunger 18, and thus the sliding shaft 19 has a free sliding action. Thus the subchassis 20 incorporating the record/reproduction head 43 goes backward by the spring 32, and at the same time the detection head 35 moves forward along with the support board 34 the stoppage of which due to the lever 39 is released to perform an intermusic detection. The rewinding intermusic detection is performed in the same way. As a result, the unnecessary wear can be prevented for the record/magnetic head.
