Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a steady and accurate tracking, by giving a parallel shift to the head through the deformation of a pair of plate springs.
CONSTITUTION: When the motor rotates in accordance with the detection output of the track shift, the pinion 30 has a unified rotation to give a rotary movement to the driving arm 26 incorporating the sector tooth 27. As a result, the arm 32 which is born by a pair of plate springs 14 and 15 between holding members 17 and 18 has a parallel shift to give a unified parallel shift to the record/reproduction head 7. With this smooth parallel shift, no change is caused to the contact state between the head 7 and the magnetic tape. As a result, a steady and accurate tracking control is secured.
