Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable sure separation by providing a sticking roll holding both side parts of the single board by sticking and by rotating the same inward in the course of lifting so as to curve the single board in the case when the top one of the single veneer boards in a pile is sucked and supplied separately.
CONSTITUTION: When cylinders 14 and 17 are extended in the condition that a sucking hood 6 is kept constantly in the state of suction and that a sucking cup 13 and a roll 22 with needles planted therein are housed on standby in the hood 6, the sucking cup 13 and the roll 22 with needles planted therein are lowered together on to the single veneer board 2. By this operation, the sucking cup 13 sucks nearly the central part of the single board 2, while the needle-shaped part of the roll 22 sticks into both side parts of the single board 2 in the longitudinal direction thereof. Next, the single board 2 which is held is lifted by the contracting motions of the cylinders 14 and 17 and is curved upward near the limit of lifting by the rotation of the roll 22 in the direction A by a rack 24 and a pinion 23, whereby the second and subsequent single boards are separated to drop, while the top board is sucked to a concave part 7.
