Abstract
PURPOSE: A hypoglycemic agent with low toxicity containing the titled compound.
CONSTITUTION: A hypoglycemic agent containing ethyl piperidylacetylaminobenzoate expressed by the formula as an active constituent. The compound of the formula is a well-known substance and has been used practically as a drug having a local anesthetic, antispasmodic and antiemetic actions. However, the compound has been found to have a hypoglycemic action with low toxicity, and is administrable for along term. The parenteral administration is possible, but the oral route is preferred.
