Abstract

PURPOSE: To correctly detect a revolution speed even when a signal face formed in a revolution body has its axis off center by a method wherein a pair of detection means are installed at a position at 180° facing each other concerning the revolution center of a rotating body and its output signal is processed through multiplication.
CONSTITUTION: Many magnets 7 having each magentic polar and an equal central angle are installed at the rear side of a rotor 6 to form a annular shape in a radius type. Ane this annular magnet 7 forms a signal surface to detect a revolution speed. Opposed to this magnet 7, two magnetic detection heads 8a, 8b are fixed on a stator substrate 9 so as to have an angle of 180° against each other concerning the revolution center and each of them outputs an apporoximately sine wave form type signal in accordance with the rotation of the rotor 6. Output signals of the magnetic detection heads 8a, 8b are entered in a multiplication circuit 11 to be processed through a multiplication and a wow component contained in each signal is counterbalanced each other, thus, a revolution detection signal of high accuracy being obtained.
