Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the decrease in treating capacity by filter cake by so arranging the apparatus that filter elements and the surfaces of mutually opposing thin plates rub to each other.
CONSTITUTION: Plural claws 12a which scrape off the filter cake formed on the top surface of a filter 1 is provided to an endless belt 12. Hence, the filter cake formed on the filter 1 is continuously scraped off by the claws 12a of the endless belt 12 and the scraped-off cake is conveyed to the outside of a treating chamber 14 while being slided on a guiding plate 15 by the claws 12a. Since the guiding plate 15 assumes a gentle upward grade, sufficient draining is accomplished. In this way, the filter is prevented from being clogged by the filter cake and the treating capacity of sludge may be improved.
