Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for any interposing body, make the spacings between wires uniform and obtain a filter of the quality of high accuracy by locally melting a spiral wiry body and fixing the same.
CONSTITUTION: Part of a spiral wiry body 2 is partly melted to fill the space between adjacent wires by making use of the extreme proximity of the spacings between the adjacent wires of spiral bodies 3 of ≤100μ interfilter spacing, by which the adjacent wires are fixed to themselves while maintaining a fixed spacing. A plasma arc weeding or a laser welding of excellent concentrating characteristic of arcs is used as welding means. These make it possible to eliminate any interposing body and produce the filter elements of a uniform interwire spacing and good accuracy.
