Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the durability of a bearing device, by equally lubricating a pair of juxtaposed angular ball bearings.
CONSTITUTION: The inner races 16 of bearing units 12, 13 are each divided into two portions. The shoulder portion 16a, which has an unloaded surface 39, is made separate from the other portion 16b of the race 16. The area of an opening 40 defined by the shoulder portion 16a and the outer lace 20 is equalized to that of an opening 41 defined by the other portion 16b and the outer race 20. Since the openings 40, 41 opposed to injection nozzles 30 in angular ball bearings 14, 15 have the same area, the quantities of lubricating oil D injected into the bearings 14, 15 through a high-pressure oil supply passage 25 and the injection nozzles 30 are equal to each other. This results in equalizing the degrees of wear of the bearings 14, 15 to each other and enhancing the durability of the bearing units 12, 13.
