Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the processing speed without increasing the memory capacity, by sending a data sent from the system to a floppy disk device while a transfer counter is under counting action and then sending a dummy data of a character buffer to the floppy disk device while the length counter is under counting action respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The transfer counter 11 counts the transfer frequency of the data from the system side to the floppy disk device FDD25. At the same time, the sector length is designated to the length counter 13 from the system side via the bus 12, and the dummy data to be written into the region the system side does not require is designated to the character buffer 14 at the sector side. Then the first area of the writing data is written into the device 25 through the transfer buffer 15, OR gate 18 and others. And the dummy data of the buffer 14 is written, when the count value of the counter 11 becomes "0", into the device 25 through the AND gate 16 OR gate 18 each and until the contents of the counter 13 becomes "0". In such way, the processing speed is increased without increasing the memory capacity.
