Abstract
PURPOSE: A soil germicide, capable of showing improved synergistic effects, and containing 5-methyl-3-hydroxyisoxazole and 1,2-bis(3-ethoxy-or methoxycarbonyl-2- thioureido)benzene as active constituents.
CONSTITUTION: A soil germicide containing 5-methyl-3-hydroxyisoxazole or a metal salt thereof and 1,2-bis(3-ethoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene and/or 1,2-bis(3- methoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene as active constituents. The germicide will not only control fusarial blights, e.g. fusarium wilt of cucmbers and tomatoes caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. cucumerinum and Fusarium oxysporum f. lycopersici, but also exhibit wide and excellent effects on main soil blights caused by Pythium aphanidermatum and Rhizoctonia solani. The germicide is effective even in a low concentration to reduce the price of the control drug with stabler effects.
