Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease in yield owing to annealing defect by perform setting of a furnace automatically based on the line speed inputted at fixed sampling intervals even in case the line speed is changed over from automatic to manual. CONSTITUTION:When the line speed is changed manually, it is admitted by a calculator that the line speed has been changed to a manual mode, then the current value of the line speed is inputted at fixed sampling intervals and the setting of a furnace based on these is accomplished points (a)-(b). When the line speed is determined at the point (b) and the signal of that determination is inputted, the calculator calculates the set value of the furnace based on this and this set value of the furnace is held. [The (b) and subsequent points]. If the setting of the furnace is performed in this way, the fluctuations in the strip temp. decrease and the temp. controlling may be carried out with good accuracy.
