Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the load on an adsorbent and make a canister to be compact by preventing a reversed flow of the vaporized fuel into the canister when the intake passage pressure is positive and further introducing separately the vaporized fuel from a resevoir of the canister into an engine.
CONSTITUTION: When the pressure at a throttle valve 4 in an intake passage 5 is negative, a diaphragm 30 in a control valve 27 is moved up. In response to the negative pressure in a passage 24, the vaporized fuel retained in the reservoir 11 of the canister 10 is suctioned into the intake passage 5 via passages 33 and 24 together with the air passing through a filter 12 and then burned in the engine 6. At this time, a diaphragm 37 of a switching valve 35 for separation at the supercharging is pulled to close a valve 38. Next, when the discharge pressure of a surpercharging impeller 26 is increased and the pressure in the intake passage 5 becomes positive, the control valve 27 closes, whereas the valve 38 of the switching valve 35 opens. Then, the vaporized fuel in the reservoir 11 is suctioned out through a nipple 31A and control chambers 41 and 40 into the intake passage 5 upstream of the impeller 26.
