Abstract
PURPOSE: Powdery coke of specific particle sizes is combined with smokeless coal and crushed in a cursher to make fine-particle smokeless coal adhere to coke particles, thus improving the particle size distribution in undersize powdery coke for blast furnaces make the coke unit better.
CONSTITUTION: Coke 1 is sent by belt conveyor 3 from yard to vibrating screen 4 and separated into the particles of less than 1mm particle sizes and those of larger than 1mm. The particles of less than 1mm particles sizes are fed by belt conveyor 8 and smokeless coal 2 is fed from yard by belt conveyor 9 so that their ratio becomes a specific value and they are crushed in crusher 10. The mixture of coke and smokeless coal which have crushed in crusher 10 is sent by belt conveyor 11 and stocked in hopper 12. Coarse particle coke is fed from hopper 6 as a fuel for sintering and at the sametime, the mixture of coke and smokeless coal is fed from hopper 12 and they are mixed and fed to a sintering machine.
