Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the annual power consumption of a circulating pump in an air conditioner employing the water of a building as a heat source, by using a calculator to control operation.
CONSTITUTION: A circulating pump 2, an auxiliary heat source 7 and a cooling tower 8 are provided in a water circuit 3 common to a plurality of heat pumps 1 employing water as a heat source. A cistern 10 is connected to the circuit through an open/close control valve 9. A heat accumulation vessel 5 is connected to the water circuit through an inlet pipe 3a and an outlet pipe 3b by change-over valves 6, 11. The outlet pipe 3b is fitted with a pump 4. A calculator 12 is provided to control said units. When a water-side converted heating load is heavier in a pattern for a day, control is effected at the beginning of operation for the next day so that the change-over valves 6, 11 are shifted to cause water to flow in a direction (b), the heat accumulation vessel 5 is connected to the water circuit 3, the open/close control valve 9 is shut off and the pumps 2, 4 are driven. When a water-side converted cooling load is heavier, the valves 6, 11 are shifted by the calculator 12 at the beginning of operation for the next day to cause water to flow in a direction (a) and the vessel 5 is disconnected.
