Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent malfunction by making it easy for an operator inexperienced in key operation to operate keys by indicating the order of key operation successively by turning on indicating lamps.
CONSTITUTION: Display device 1 providing a proper display of the current time or set time is arranged on a program timer device by being composed of light emission diodes, etc. With program start key 2 of the input device of this timer device, control signals turning on indicating lamps L2 and L3 in the order indicated by program selection keys 4 and 5 through a controlling circuit are generated to indicate which of program selection keys 4 and 5 should be operated. With function keys 6 and 7 for selecting an external apparatus operating a set time, a tuner and tape are selected and indicating lamps L6 and L7 are turned on.
