Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the use of a heated liquid always at a prescribed temperature, by providing a glow discharge heating tube as a heat source, connecting a tank to the rear of the heating tube and using a temperature control circuit and a temperature-retaining control circuit to control a voltage which is applied to an auxiliary electrode. CONSTITUTION:When switches 45, 46 are closed, a relay 37 acts and relay contacts 39, 40 and solenoid valves 16, 31 are changed over. At that time, an auxiliary power source 5 is driven, discharge is caused in a glow discharge heating tube 14 and an introduced heated liquid M is heated and then stored in a tank 26 and controlled to a prescribed temperature by a temperature sensor 22 and a temperature control circuit 23. When the tank 26 is filled, the switches 45, 46 are opened. At that time, the feed of the heated liquid M is stopped and a convection passage 53 is formed between the tank 26 and the heating tube 14. The driving of the auxiliary power source 5 is maintained by the action of a liquid switch 41. The control electrode of a thyristor 6 is connected to a temperature-retaining control circuit 36 to start retaining a temperature.
