Abstract

PURPOSE: To pile up crystals of heat accumulating material regularly and orderly as rectangular lumpy bodies and to perform heat recovery effectively by dipping a heat exchanger for cooling in which a plurality of pipes are horizontally connected, in a heat accumulating material in a heat accumulating vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 5 for cooling is dipped at the upper part in a heat accumulating material 3 within a heat accumulating vessel 1. The heat exchanger 5 for cooling comprises a plurality of pipes 5b having plate-shaped fins 5a at its lower side and arranged horizontally in contacting manner, and heating pipes 6 for separating crystals 4 of heat accumulating material, arranged at the pipe edges of the pipes 5b. When a predetermined quantity of the heat accumulating material crystal 4 adhere to the heat exchanger, the compressor is stopped occasionally and a high-temperature medium is passed through the pipes 5b to melt a part of crystals 4 and drop the same downward. The heat medium after leaving a condenser, is caused to flow to the heating pipes 6. The dropped crystals 4 are orderly accumulated in the form of a rectangular lumpy body.
