Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the record frequency properties over a low range through a high range, by dividing the record signal by frequencies and then mixing the divided signals by reducing and increasing the amplitude of the bias oscillator to the record signals of a high frequency and low frequency respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The record signal supplied to the input terminal 1 is divided by frequencies into the low and high regions through the LPF2 and HPF3 and then supplied to the mixing circuits 6 and 7 via the equalizer circuits 4 and 5. The bias oscillation output of a large amplitude is supplied to the circuit 6, and the bias oscillation output of a small amplitude is supplied to the circuit 7 respectively from the bias oscillator 11 via the semifixed resistances 12 and 13. These outputs (a) and (b) are mixed up through the circuits 6 and 7 and then controlled by the signal of the oscillator 11 which is shaped by the shaping circuit 14 to be supplied to the recording head 9 after a time division given by the analog switch 8 and then to be recorded on the magnetic tape 10. In such way, the record frequency properties can be improved over a low range through a high range.
