Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize both a simple constitution and low cost for a disk separator, by securing a protrusion of the information exchange surface above the disk separator surface by a proper distance via the position reference surface of an information exchanger and the reference surface of the main body of the disk separator.
CONSTITUTION: The information exchanger 20 is attached to one end of the spring 27 of information exchanger supporter plate, and the other end of the spring 27 is attached to the information exchanger supporter stage 16. Accordingly, the position reference surface 24 of the exchanger 20 becomes adjacent with the reference surface 15 of the main body 12 of the disk separator, and furthermore the information exchange surface 22 protrudes above the disk separator surface 11 through the mounting hole 17 of the exchanger 20. As a result, such a distance as to ensure a highly efficient record/reproduction of information can be obtained between the magnetic core 21 and the information recording surface of the flexible magnetic disk 30 when the disk separator is under operation. In such constitution, the position control mechanism of a complicated structure and a meticulous position control is eliminated. Thus a simple-structure and low-cost disk separator is obtained.
