Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small size and large capacity disk device by making access a pluraity of disks attached to >=2 rotating shafts by a pair of actuators having having a plurality of heads attached. CONSTITUTION:A frame 1 has two rotating shafts and each rotating shaft 3 is mounted three disks 2 respectively. The rotating shaft 3 is constantly rotated by a motor and the like through a pulley 7, a belt 8 disposed below the frame 1. To the actuator 4, a plurality of arms 9 are fixed and at an end thereof, a magnetic head 5 is provided. That is, by a pair of actuators 4, a plurality of magetic heads 5 are made access to disks of both shafts to carry out the reading and writing of the data. By such a constitution, a plurality of disks attached to >=2 rotating shafts are made access by a pair of actuators attached more than one heads thereto, so that the small size and large capacity disk device can be obtained.
