Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the incident angle of an entire lens hood and shorten the lens hood by constituting the lens hood as the collective body of numerous hood elements having a wall surface parallel to the optical axis of a light-receiving lens respectively and thereby fractionating the light-receiving surface.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical bodies are used as the hood elements 1 and the numerous elements 1 are bounded and inserted into an outside tube 3 to form the lens hood 2. The inside wall surface of the cylindrical body 1 is made to be parallel to the optical axis of the light-receiving lens. Moreover, the lens hood 2 is formed by a number of plane-shaped partition plates 4 arranged in parallel and at equal intervals, while the partition plates 4 are formed of this metal plates and two adjacent partition plates 4 form one hood element 1 respectively. In addition, the lens hood 2 is fitted to the port for lens of the object detector by a screw fitting part 5. As the result, the length of the hood is lessened and the result equal to that of long hood is obtained.
